We welcome parents of currently enrolled students to take advantage of the many opportunities for parent education offered at Bellevue Montessori School. Classes and gatherings provide parents a chance to learn more about their child’s classroom, the school, Montessori education and parenting, as well as the opportunity to get to know one another better.
Parent Information Nights
In September parents are invited into their child’s classroom to meet their child’s teacher and become better informed about their child’s upcoming school year. Additionally, Parent Information Nights are a time to meet other parents, ask questions, and become more familiar with the Bellevue Montessori School community.
Parent Education Classes
Parent Education Classes are offered in the fall and cover Montessori philosophy, curriculum and materials. Whether you are a longtime Montessorian or have just recently discovered Montessori, we encourage all parents to join us and deepen their understanding.
Coffee with the Director
Coffee with the Director are gatherings held throughout the year in our school library and are led by our school’s director. A topic relating to children and education is presented and discussed. These informal gatherings are a time for parents to share thoughts and get to know one another. Come to listen, learn and join in on the conversation!
Love and Logic
Do you ever feel frustrated as a parent? Are you able to remain calm when your child is not? Would you like to take the frustration and confusion out of parenting? Bellevue Montessori School offers a 5-week series of parenting classes bi-annually called Love and Logic. A trained facilitator leads the participants through a series of classes aimed to help with parenting skills. Registration information is posted on our website in January. For more information please visit www.loveandlogic.com.
Dates and times for Parent Education opportunities are posted on our school’s calendar as they are available.
